Al-Shabaab, al Qaeda’s branch in Somalia has claimed Saturday control of a town in the central Somali region of Middle Shabelle region, KNN reports
According to local news in the area, the town of Mahaday was captured after Somali troops retreated from the area following overnight clashes between the troops and al-shabaab residents. casa
Reports coming from the town this satriday monirng indicate that militants withdrew from the town and the government soldiers recaptured it without further clashes. causalities on both sides and civilians remain unknown
