Mogadishu-KNN-At least ten people were killed in suspected suicide car bomb in Mogadishu on Monday and dozens injured, according witnesses.
The blast was targeted to essential security check point where many cars with passengers ware in line to check and go to the Aden Adde International Airport. Ambulances rushed to the scene to evacuate the casualties to the hospitals.
Security forces ensured that there were no further more attacks. Business centers, including petroleum station were caught on fire and that increased the damages of property and structures.
An eye witness told Kulmiye News Network that the check point was very busy in the time of the explosion and many people waiting to pass to Aden Adde Airport.
“I saw many people holding passports lying down with serious casualties” the source told KNN.
There is no comment from the Somali security agencies, but Police officers were deployed to scene. Journalists and media representatives were refused to enter the scene by the officers.
On the other hand, there is no group claimed the responsibility of Monday’s attack, but Al-shabaab, the Al-Qaidda linked terrorist group carry these sort of attacks.
