Mogadishu-KNN-The Somali military officials in Hiran regions told the media that they have launched an operation against Al-shabaab and killed 168 members of the militants after hours of battle.
Commander of Somali military in Hiran region Ahmed Mohamud Taredisho said that SNA attacked bases of Al-shabaab in some villages especially Mubah, El ali and other villages in the region.
Al-shabaab has a strong persistence in region, and there important districts where Al-shabaab controls and some other districts were trapped by Al-shabaab, there is no transportation can enter Bulo burde and other districts.
There is no comment from Al-shabaab about claims from the Somali military officials in Hiran region.
