Somalia Airstrike Targets and Kills High-Ranking Al-Shabaab Leaders

More details are emerging from a heavy attack by warplanes in Sablale District in the Lower Shabelle region.

The bombing targeted a senior leaders of the Al-Shabaab fighters and members who were accompanying him in a meeting in the Lower Shabelle region.

The security source said that the Emir of Al-Shabaab, Abu Ubeyda, and Mahad Karatey were at the site of the bombing.

According to the Security Officers, Al-shabaab Senior Leaders held a critical meeting in an area located in Sablaale district in the Lower Shabelle region.

At least 20 people were killed and many more were injured in the bombing in the Sablale area. Among the injured members of the attack is Mahad Karatey, who is one of the deputies of the Emir of Al-Shabaab.

Among the members who died in the bombing were Al-Shabaab deputy Abu Bakar Ali Adan and the AS chairman in charge of the Lower Shabelle region whose name was shortened to Abdirahman. Mahad Karatey, Al-Shabaab deputy was also injured in the attack.

The international allies of the Somali government who help in the fight against Al-Shabaab have increased their attacks on the places where Al-Shabaab fighters are in the regions of the country.
