Breaking: twin blasts rocked in Mogadishu targeted to government building

Mogadishu-KNN-At least two people were killed and more injured after two car bombs rocked in Mogadishu on Saturday. Witnesses told Kulmiye News Network that the attack was targeted to government building of ministry of Labor and social affairs.

  Minutes after the attack armed fighters suspected belongs to Al-shabaab stormed the ministry and now the building is under attack.

The first explosion was a car loaded with explosives and hits to gate of the ministry that caused a large distraction and uncounted casualties. While the second explosion it is said was a car driven by the armed militants attacked the building.

The scene of the attack is also near to ministries of Public work, healthy and Banadir Police Station.

“Fighting is happening in the ministry of labor and social affairs, they (militants) are in the building and they are fighting with the police officers. I am out of the building” a witness told KNN after the second blast.

Ambulances rushed to the scene to evacuate the casualties. Security officers arrived the scene and started an operation.

There is no comment from the police and security agencies related to today’s explosions.

Al-shabaab, the Al-Qa’idda branch in Somalia claimed the attack but not give details.
