Death tall of Mogadishu bomning rises to 80

Early hours on Saturday suspected Al-Shabaab suicide bomber attacked finance ministry office in in Mogadishu. Witness told Somsoon that the office was notably busy.

A bomber driving a car loaded with explosives targeted the Ex-Afgoie in Mogadishu and many casualties have reported.

More than 80 people are reported to have died while nearly 100 others injured. Foreign ministry of Turkish government confirmed that two citizens were dead in the attack.

Dr. Mohamed Aden of Medina hospital said that the hospital has admitted 73 bodies and more than 50 wounded people.

Witnesses said that the explosion was powerful and met with very busy hour.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo accused Al-Shabaab the responsibility of attack and urged to stand aside with the victims and their families.

Mogadishu Mayor Omar Mohammed told the reporters that many university students were among the dead.

It is believed that Saturday’s blast is the third deadliest attacks in a decade and the largest in 2019.

There is no group claimed responsibility of the attack, but Al-Shabaab militants, the most deadly terrorist group in Somalia carried many times of the past attacks on civilians and and government offices.
