Farah Maalim “Kenya gives USD 1.5m every month to Jubaland to pay the salaries of 7000 strong Jubaland force

Mogadishu-KNN-Former Deputy Speaker of Kenya National Assembly Farah Maalim has revealed that Kenyan government pays more than one million dollar to flash out “ 1,500” Al-shabab militants in Somalia.

According the former Kenyan MP, Kenyan government pays 1.5 million dollar to Jubbaland administration, Somalia to pay salaries of Somali, Kenyan, Ethiopian and Burundi troops those are fighting against Al-shabab.   

KDF is part of the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM) troops distributed from across Africa to maintain peace in the war-torn nation.

“Kenya Government gives USD 1.5m every month to Jubaland authority to pay the salaries of 7000 strong Jubaland force. Additionally there are 5500 KDF, 4000 SNA, 3000 Ethiopians & 1000 Burundians to flush out 1500 AlShabaab” Farah Maalim twitted.
