Mogadishu-KNN-At least one person dead after heavy rains with powerful winds hit the coastal town of Berbera and it’s near villages, according Somaliland officials of Bari region.
Governor of Sahil region Ahmed Osman Hasaan told BBC that one person were killed after home collapsed in Berbera on Friday night.
Hasaan said that 950 people were evacuated and now they are in schools. It was few days ago when tropical storm alert was issued.
There are heavy rains and power full winds in Somaliland and puntland regions, many coastal residents took precautions to be prepared as heavy storm is expected.
