Islamic State fighter captured in Somalia: Police.

A suspected ISIS islamist fighter has been arrested in the capital Mogadishu, KNN reports on Tuesday.

A police spokesman Qaasim says the arrestee had fought alongside with Al-Shabaab group, before he detected to Islamic State militants in Puntland in the north.

He fought alongside with IS in Iraq and Syria. He came back to Somalia according to police. Police identified his name as Jama Hussein Hassan.

The suspected fighter was displayed to media in the capital Mogadishu.

He was reportedly burying a roadside bomb at the time of his capture near Mogadishu, police said.
