Members of Somali police force arrested for corruption allegations

Mogadishu-KNN-At least 28 Somali police force have been arrested after corruption allegations, Criminal investigation department said on Saturday.

Somali government starts fighting against corruption after years of being the most corrupted country in the world and has arrested several government officials.

Deputy Commander of criminal investigation department (CID) of Somali police force Bashir Ahmed Gedi told the local media that 28 Somali police, including officers are in the custody and under investigation for corruption allegations.

Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khayre pledged to fight against corruption.

Although, government arrested officials for corruption accusations there is no one of the suspects faced corruption prosecutions yet.
