Somali deputy PM “every Somali citizen is displaced or refugee”

Mogadishu-KNN-Mahdi Mohamed Guled, Somalia’s deputy prime minister opened a project intended to help Somali refugees living abroad and those displaced in the home.

“Every Somali citizen is displaced, is easy for you to story the problems you met with and then be part of solution” said Mr. guled.

The deputy prime minister said that regional administrations are bases of refugee and internally displaced people caring policy as returnees and those displaced are centered different regions of the country.

He said that droughts, floods and conflicts are contributing factors of displacement.
It is necessary for preventing anything can take part for displacement, he added.

“Refugees and displaced people caring policy is national responsibility of regional administrations” deputy PM said.

Nearly 2.6 million people are displaced while 1.1 million Somali refugees are living foreign countries, according to aid agencies.
