Mogadishu -KNN-Somali security officials of federal and state level with security experts gathered in Mogadishu on Tuesday to discuss rebuilding coastal guards, those have not worked since 1991.
Deputy security minister of Somalia Abdinasir Sa’id chaired today’s meeting, security ministers of regional administrations participated the meeting.
After long discussion officials said they have agreed rebuilding Somali coastal guards to secure the safety and security of the Somali coasts.
“Coastal guards will prevent terrorism, piracy and illegal fishing activities of Somali coasts” deputy security minister Abdinasir Sa’id said.
Somali coasts have been suffering illegal activities of terrorism, piracy and illegal fishing.
