Somalia’s constitution was stolen: deputy speaker

Mogadishu-KNN-Somalia’s lower house deputy speaker Abdi wali Sheekh Ibrahim Mudey said that the working constitution is not the real one which the country adopts 2012.

Speaking to members of parliament, federal and state constitution commissions and members of cabinet ministries in honor diner in Mogadishu, Mudey told the participants that Somalia’s constitution was changed, although he did not named the agent.

“I want to say our temporary working constitution, is not the constitution passed by Somali delegates in 2012” Mudey said.

He added that the lost constitution was perfect and consistent with Somali people to build their nation.

The first deputy gives advice to the constitution review committee to keep the on review constitution documents.

His comment created public debates in Mogadishu.

The federal republic  of Somalia dabbled efforts of constitutions review to reach one man one vote in 2020.
