Somalia’s presidential guards commander in chief sacked

Mogadishu-KNN- The presidential guards commander Ahmed Mohamed also known as Af-addey has been sacked after a political turmoil in Mogadishu.

The political struggle between executive and legislative branches of Somalia effects units of the army.

Mohamed was removed his assignments as general commander for presidential guards over allegations about that he got involved the political stand-off of last Wednesday.

According to presidential guard source, Mohamed was accused that he allowed a group of presidential guards to escort speaker Mohamed sheekh Osman Jawari and his second deputy Mahad Awad to enter house of people, parliamentary building with weapons.

Colonel Omar Abdirahman was appointed as the interim commander of presidential guards.

Speaker of the People’s house Mohamed sheekh Osman Jawari accused security commanders they have intervened the deepening political crisis.

Additionally, the security guards of speaker Jawari was removed by police, military and NISA commanders.
