US strikes Al-shabab in Somalia

Mogadishu-KNN-The US Africa command AFRICOM said it carried out an air strike against Al-shabab in Somalia on Wednesday, 11 April.

AFRICOM said in a statement that US forces conducted an airstrike which is targeted vehicle-born improvised explosive devices.

“In coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia, U.S. forces conducted an airstrike destroying an Al-Shabab vehicle-borne improvised explosive device near Jana Cabdalle, Somalia, on the afternoon of April 11” AFRICOM said.

US continue targeting Al-shabab leaders and fighters and confronting vehicle-born improvised explosive devices heading to Mogadishu.

“U.S. forces will continue to use all authorized and appropriate measures to protect U.S. citizens and to disable terrorist threats” AFRICOM said.

Al-shabab is the deadliest group in Somalia.
